Pushover
Updated 1 October 2026 · BugsRadar team
Alerts arrive as push notifications on your phone or desktop, for one person or a whole delivery group. You provide the token of your application and a user or group key.
Steps
- Sign in at pushover.net. Your user key is on the dashboard. To notify several people, create a delivery group and use its key instead.
- Create an application - Create an Application/API Token on the dashboard - and copy its API token.
- In BugsRadar, add a Pushover channel with the application token and the user or group key.
Test it
BugsRadar checks the token and the key with Pushover before saving the channel. Press Send test: a test notification arrives within seconds. A Pushover message is a short notification without the stack trace, and repeats arrive as summaries, since Pushover can't edit a message: see What you receive.
Changing the application or the key
Credentials can't be edited: to use another application or another user or group key, add a new Pushover channel and delete the old one. If Pushover keeps refusing the token or the key, BugsRadar turns the channel off and shows the reason: see When a channel fails.
